Size classification usually groups coconuts into large, medium, and small lots, sometimes with count-per-kilogram figures attached. For wholesale buyers this matters because mixed-size lots are harder to price consistently downstream.
Moisture content is the second key figure, and it's the one that determines shelf life and storage risk. Coconuts that haven't been dried sufficiently are prone to mould and spoilage in transit, particularly on longer export routes — so ask your supplier for their moisture-testing method, not just a final number.
Finally, format matters for freight planning: whole dry coconut takes up more container space than semi-husked, which affects landed cost per unit. A supplier who can quote both formats side by side makes it easier to compare true delivered cost rather than just per-kilogram price.
